• Diferentemente de (contrary to): Contrary to what I’d thought, it wasn’t very warm there. (Diferentemente do que eu pensava, não era muito quente lá)

• Do lado de (on one’s side): I’m on her side. ( Eu estou do lado dela)

• Em cima da hora (at the last minute): They put in their orders at the last minute. (Eles colocaram as ordens deles em cima da hora)

• Em curto prazo (in the short run): I think it will only work in the short run. (Eu acho que isso vai funcionar apenas no curto prazo)

• Em geral (in general): The situation is stable in general. (A situação está estável no geral)

• Em jejum (on an empty stomach): You’re supposed to take it on an empty stomach. (Você deve tomá-lo em jejum)

• Em longo prazo (in the long run): In the long run it works out much cheaper. (Em longo prazo isso funciona muito mais barato)

• Em lugar nenhum (anywhere): You won’t find it anywhere. (Você não vai encontrá-lo em nenhum lugar)

• Em outras palavras (in other words): In other words, we liked it a lot. (Em outras palavras, nós gostamos muito disso)

• Ficar juntos (to be together): I want us to be together. (Eu quero que fiquemos juntos)

• Ficar louco (to be crazy): He was crazy for her. (Ele era louco por ela)

• Ficar magoado (to get hurt): I don’t want you to get hurt. (Eu não quero ficar magoado)

• Ficar na dúvida (to not be sure): I think I got it right but I wasn’t sure. (Eu acho que entendi direito, mas não tinha certeza)
